What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a federal government scheme created to help fund and support eligible Australians living with permanent or significant disabilities.

What's the eligibility criteria?

The NDIS eligibility criteria is simple:

You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or an Australian citizen with a Protected Special Category Visa.
Must be aged under 65 years.
Have a permanent disability that restricts your ability to interact and perform everyday tasks and activities.

How can I access the NDIS?

If you believe you are eligible for NDIS support, you will need to:

Complete the Access Request (AR) form
You can find this online or at a NDIS office accessible to you.
For access to the NDIS, you can apply as:
- Yourself
- Parent/Guardian for your child
- Their legal representative

What type of supports can I receive through the NDIS?

There are a few options to manage your NDIS plan:

NDIA Managed – The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) will oversee your funding.
NDIS Plan Manager – A professional financial manager that can help you navigate your NDIS plan.
Self-managed – You have independent control over your NDIS plan
